RSCCM promotes and empowers
peaceful conflict resolution across our six-county region:
Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Isabella, and Shiawassee.
Restorative Justice is a peaceful conflict resolution tool that brings together all parties affected by conflict to discuss the incident, its impact on relationships and community, and find ways to heal harm collectively. Restorative justice fosters connection, communication, and conflict resolution through structured dialogue and shared decision-making. Through a variety of interventions such as the circling process and restorative conversations, RJ helps establish understanding, empathy, and collaborative problem solving to support life-enriching connections.
We offer civil and domestic mediation training year-round, available both in-person and via Zoom. Quarterly updates are also available for certified mediators.
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process where a neutral, third-party mediator helps people in conflict communicate and negotiate to reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Unlike a judge or arbitrator, the mediator facilitates discussion but does not make decisions
We provide custom training for individuals, businesses, and organizations, helping people at all levels develop skills to manage and resolve conflict effectively.
Mediation is an opportunity for individuals in conflict to create their own solutions within a neutral, confidential, and informal setting. By fostering open and respectful communication, mediation allows for people in dispute to communicate more effectively in the hope of reaching an agreement which can resolve their conflict. Unlike a courtroom setting, mediation provides a more informal and less adversarial environment, allowing participants to maintain control over the outcome rather than having a decision imposed by a judge.
